About LuciennE
Hello you, my name is Lucienne, let me tell you the story of myself. I work as a somatic therapist, a yoga and meditation teacher, and a coach and guide in the field of Women’s wellbeing. I am also a poet, a daughter, a sister and a partner. I am a kitchen dancer, a deep feeler, and a lover of all the raw and messy parts of this exquisite human life. This love is what called me to the work I offer, an insatiable desire to feel deeply and be moved by the spectrum of life. Driven by this desire, I long to offer my understanding to those of you who feel stuck in your life, body and emotions, and to help guide you toward feeling your life force and vitality moving freely again.
Through years of learning, practicing, teaching and embodying what I do, I have found that all of it - all experience, emotion, creation and wisdom - is sourced from the body. In a world that seems designed to disconnect us from our bodies, coming home to the body is the most powerful act of self reclamation. It is an act that liberates us back into who were were always designed to be.
For me, as for so many of us women, I have danced a battle with my body. Through trauma, pain, disordered eating and a relationship of force and control, I fought my body for many years. It was yoga that shone a different light on the body I lived within, and taught me for the first time how to listen to its voice. Through its teachings I found the key that had felt like it had been missing my whole life, an ability to sense and hear the deeper layers of my body’s speaking. Through learning to listen I slowly began to build a relationship of intimacy with the skin I lived in. Over years of passionate study in yogic sciences; including nervous system regulation, meditation, restorative, yin, and Women’s yoga, I uncovered what felt like the most beautiful secret - that our body is always talking to us, and if we learn to listen, we can reshape the entire course of our lives, minds and spirits. I taught yoga for many years, but still felt like there was something missing. My desire to understand the mind-body connection only continued to deepen, leading me to become a qualified psychotherapist. My work since has been in merging the worlds of the mind and the body to unveil and unlock meaningful lives for my clients.
If you are tired of working against yourself, of being hard on yourself, of forcing your way through your life only to feel lost, frustrated and exhausted, I understand. I was once you too. And because I see you, I can show you a different way. A way that is spacious and loving, one that gives you the freedom to live as yourself and not as who you were taught you should be.
Welcome home, I want to help give your body back to you.
Your body is not broken and you are not the problem, you were just never shown the way.
The work is to remember your inner wisdom. tO live in tune with your the langUage of your body.
